- This will be the second time in the last four years that Piedmont and Covenant have met in the USA South Tournament. In 2013, No. 2 seeded Piedmont knocked off the No. 6 seeded Lady Scots 3-1 in the semifinal round in Martinsville, Va.

- Covenant and Piedmont split their two matches during the regular season. Covenant took a 2-1 win at Scotland Yard on Sept. 16 behind two goals from Lizzy Hightower. In the rematch on Oct. 21, Piedmont's Cassidy Reich scored in the 77th minute giving the host Lions a 1-0 win.

- Covenant leads the all-time series 6-5-1, but Piedmont has won four of the last five matches in the series.

- The Lady Scots have dominated at Scotland Yard this season. Covenant is 8-0 at the Yard and has outscored its opponents 18-3 with six shutouts. Piedmont was the last team to score on Covenant at home back on Sept. 16.

- The two teams are riddled with All-USA South performers as the conference announced its postseason awards on Thursday. The teams had four players each on the All-West Division first team and combined for three members on the All-West Division second team.

- Saturday's winner will move on to the semifinal round on Friday, Nov. 4 against the winner of the East No. 1 seed Meredith and the East No. 5 seed Averett. The site will be set after the quarterfinal round matches end.
