Today is Moment No. 2.
October 6, 2012 - Women's Soccer defeats Tennessee Temple 2-0, Duble wins No. 200
It wasn't exactly the prettiest of soccer matches, but a win is a win and on this day that was all that mattered. Covenant used a goal each in the first and second half to defeat Tennessee Temple 2-0 on Homecoming weekend giving head coach Mark Duble his 200th career coaching victory.
Duble has spent his entire coaching career at Covenant. After finishing his playing career with the men's soccer team in 1991, Duble was brought on to start the women's program in 1993. When the program officially became a varsity sport in 1994, Duble quickly had his teams competing at a high level.
16 winning seasons later, Duble topped the 200-win plateau. After the match ended against Temple, current and former players came out to midfield to greet the Coach.
Duble will take a 206-118-24 coaching record into his 20th season in 2013.
