ROME, Ga. -- Covenant women's basketball junior forward Hannah Monday was voted to the All-USA South West Division first team and senior Margo Koby was the Scots' representative on the All-Sportsmanship team, as the conference released its season awards on Thursday.

All awards are voted on by the women's basketball coach at each institution. The divisional team voting is completed only by those coaches in the particular division. The first team all-conference and individual award voting is completed by all coaches.

Monday, a junior from Wildwood, Ga., collects her first All-USA South honor and becomes the first Scot to be named to the first team All-West Division. The junior ended the year averaging 12.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game as she played in all 26 contests. Monday had six double-doubles on the year, including four in the final five games, and scored a career-high 27 points at Birmingham Southern (Nov. 16). Within the conference, Monday ranks second in blocks (55) and in the top 10 in field goal percentage (48.2), defensive rebounds (133), and total rebounds (199).

Monday was named USA South Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season after posting 20.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. She was clutch down the stretch as she averaged 14.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game in the final month of the season.

Koby, a senior from St. Louis, Mo., was Covenant's representative on the All-Sportsmanship team for the first time. The senior had a career-best year as she averaged 9.7 points and 7.4 rebounds in 26 games. Koby set career single-game highs in several categories this season, including scoring 25 points in a win at Wesleyan (Feb. 1) and collecting 14 rebounds in a game twice during the year.

Berea freshman Aaliyah Hampton was named the USA South Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, while William Peace head coach Grahm Smith earned Coach of the Year honors.

Covenant ended its season with a 10-16 overall record and a fourth straight appearance in the USA South Tournament.
