FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Covenant women's basketball junior Kaley Hallmark earned second team All-USA South West Division honors and junior Morgan Douglass was Covenant's representative on the All-Sportsmanship team as the USA South released its all-conference awards on Thursday.
All awards are voted on by the women's basketball coach at each institution. The divisional team voting is completed only by those coaches in the particular division. The first team all-conference and individual award voting is completed by all coaches.
The honor for Hallmark, a junior from Oklahoma City, Okla., is the first of her career. Hallmark is averaging a career-high in points (11.8), rebounds (4.7), assists (2.9), and steals per game (1.5) this season. The junior scored a career-high 22 points twice this season, with the first coming in a 71-58 win at Piedmont on Feb. 3 where she also tallied her first career double-double. Hallmark has scored double-digit points in 13 games this season, and is currently second on the team in scoring average and sixth in the USA South in 3-point percentage at 38.8 percent.
Douglass, a junior from Hamilton, Ga., was the Scots' representative on the All-Sportsmanship team. A valuable member of the program, Douglass has played in 19 games this season and scored a career-high 10 points in a win over Wesleyan on Jan. 30.
