GAME TWO: Covenant 9, Agnes Scott 8

The Scots tallied a season-high 17 hits in the victory, but needed to come from behind to earn the series split. Down 6-4 in the sixth inning, Covenant scored two runs as Cassee Wood's RBI single plated Shelby Ralston to tie the score at 6-6.

Faith Manning followed with an RBI double and Ralston continued the inning with a run-scoring single to make it 9-6.

The host Scotties scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but Lulu Klecan got Kayla Spinks to fly out to end the threat and preserve the win for the Scots.

GAME ONE: Agnes Scott 7, Covenant 4

A six-run fourth inning was enough for Agnes Scott to defeat Covenant, 7-4, in Wednesday's opener.

Covenant took a 2-0 lead in the third inning when Mast drove in Madyson Gibbins and Hill with a single to center field. It was one of two hits for Mast, who finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Covenant out-hit the Scotties 10-9 in the loss. Ralston and Hill also had two hits for Covenant.

Agnes Scott answered with a run in the bottom of the third on a Young solo home run. In the fourth, the Scotties sent 10 batters to the plate and scored six runs to grab a 7-2 lead. Quesenberry had a two-run double in the inning before RBI singles from Valerie Rivas and Tiara White capped the outburst from the Scotties.

Covenant got a run back in the fifth as Mast doubled home Hill to make it 7-3. In the sixth, Gibbins got the Scots within 7-4 on an infield RBI single, but the Scots would not be able to get closer.

Lauren Kierpa (2-1) received the loss for Covenant as she went three innings and allowed five runs. Carsyn Stone tossed three innings in relief and surrendered just four hits and two unearned runs.
