The losses drop the Lady Scots 11-14-1 overall and 3-11 in the USA South, while Meredith improves to 15-13 on the year and 5-7 in the conference.

Jordan Brett produced four hits on the day and saw her hitting streak extend to 11 games, the longest streak of the season for a Lady Scot.

GAME ONE: Meredith 9, Covenant 8

Down 6-0 in the fourth, Covenant rallied to take a 7-6 lead in the top of the sixth inning but Meredith scored a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh to walk-off with a 9-8 win in the opener.

Meredith answered with a run in the sixth to tie the game at 7-7, but Covenant regained the lead with a run in the seventh to go ahead 8-7. Hart was able to score from third on Schmitt's line out to left field before the Avenging Angels caught a Covenant runner off the bag for the inning's final out.

In the bottom of the seventh, Meredith produced two runs after the first two batters were retired. Eran Artigues' RBI double to left field brought in the winning run.

Tyler Epes (3-5) picks up the loss for Covenant, while Meredith reliever Lauren Marbrey (6-6) gets the win.

Bryce Smith led Meredith offensively going 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs.

The Lady Scots got on the board with a run in the third on a Jami Johnson RBI single that plated Carlin Labuzan. In the fourth, Covenant cut the deficit to 4-2 as Quirk launched a solo home run, her second of the year, to right field.

Meredith's Courtney Saunders hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth to extend the Avenging Angels' lead to 7-2 and the deficit was too much to overcome for the Lady Scots.
