Softball Lands Commitment from Talley

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Hannah Talley, a senior at Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Ga., has committed to attend Covenant College and play softball for head coach Sara Russell starting in the fall of 2016.

At Hillgrove, under coach Laura Voyles, Talley played her freshman season at catcher. She has also played with the Georgia Trouble travel team, under coach Deb Sonnenberg, where her current batting average is .353.

"I chose Covenant because I wanted an academically strong school where I could also grow in my relationship with the Lord," said Talley as to her decision to attend Covenant.

Talley added, "I chose Covenant softball because during my sophomore year of high school, I watched a video where Coach Russell stated that she wanted to recruit girls that had love for the sport, but more love for the Lord."

Talley plans to major in Sports Administration while at Covenant.

Russell, along with the team and her coaching staff, are pleased to have Hannah Talley join the Lady Scots in 2015.
