North Cobb's Douglas Set to Join Lady Scots Softball in 2014-15

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Victoria "Tori" Douglas, a senior middle infielder from North Cobb High School (Ga.), has committed to attend Covenant College. By accepting the enrollment offer, Douglas has expressed her intent to become a full-time student and play softball for the Lady Scots and head coach Sara Russell beginning in the fall of 2014.

Douglas played second base, shortstop and outfield for the Lady Warriors and head coach Jo Beth Weaver. Her total varsity batting average was .300, with a .324 average in her senior season at North Cobb. Her defensive and offensive versatility carried over to her travel team as well.

"I chose Covenant because not only can I get an education, but strengthen my relationship with God," said Douglas. "I chose Covenant softball because Coach Russell showed me that she will be more than a coach but a mentor and someone who will always be there for me. Also, the girls are wonderful and showed interest in me and my being a part of the team."

Douglas plans to major in Pre-physical Therapy while at Covenant.

Russell, along with the team and coaching staff, are pleased to have Tori Douglas join the Lady Scots in 2014.
