BY THE NUMBERS:

1: Number of hits surrendered by baseball sophomore pitcher Garrett Kriston in Saturday's 2-0 win over Milligan. Kriston was one out away from throwing a seven-inning no-hitter before Milligan's Edwin Soto broke it up with a single.
3: The women's basketball team won three of its last four games to end the season. The women went 2-1 last week with victories over Huntingdon and LaGrange. The 3-1 record marked the best stretch of the season for the Scots.
5: Number of RBIs for softball freshman Jordan Brett in a doubleheader sweep of Mount St. Joseph on Saturday. Brett was 3-for-7 on the afternoon and launched her first collegiate home run as the Lady Scots won game one 7-6 and game two 5-4.
FINISHING UP A CAREER
Women's basketball senior forward Jessie Blankenship concluded her career in Saturday's 56- 54 win over LaGrange. The Lexington, S.C., product finishes her illustrious career with 1,362 points, 12th-best in school history, and 797 rebounds, fourth all-time in program history. She is only one of four players in program history to record at least that many points and rebounds joining Clair Lowe (1998-02), Ann Montgomery (1985-89) and Angela Krieg (1993-97). Blankenship has earned multiple athletic honors including second team NCCAA All-American as a sophomore and honorable mention NCCAA All-American last season.
In addition to her work on the court, Blankenship excelled in the classroom as she was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, a two-time GSAC All-Academic team member and a two-time NCCAA Scholar-Athlete. She is a double major in Art and Business.
Conference play gets started this weekend for all spring sports. Baseball hosts a three-game series with North Carolina Wesleyan, softball and the tennis teams play host to Greensboro (Friday) and Ferrum (Saturday)... Covenant had three players earn USA South weekly honors in Garrett Kriston (Baseball Pitcher of the Week), Jordan Lester (Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week) and Claire Luger (Women's Tennis Player and Rookie of the Week).
