Rollins and Harris Named Covenant Players of the Week

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Senior baseball player James Rollins and senior softball player Beth Harris have been named Covenant Players of the Week for the week of April 2-7. This marks the second time that each player has been recognized with this honor this season.

Rollins had an incredible week offensively to lead the Scots to a 2-2 record. The senior hit .533 with two home runs, three runs driven in, and six runs scored. Additionally, Rollins hit safely in all four games to extend his hitting streak to 15 games. For the season, Rollins is batting .455 with three homers and 15 RBIs, while also leading Covenant in slugging (.673) and on-base percentage (.537).

Harris also played a huge role in the Lady Scots' two wins last week. The left fielder batted .571 in the four games with two home runs, both coming in the same game against Point University, and eight runs batted in. Harris has been on a tear at the plate all season long as she leads Covenant in several offensive categories including home runs (11), RBIs (45), and batting average (.484).
