Covenant College Lady Scots (20-18)
The Lady Scots are enjoying another solid year behind the pitching of Chelsea Krafft and the hitting of Beth Harris. Krafft has dominated in the circle as she has struck out 169 batters in 160.0 innings with an earned run average of 2.87 and 17 complete-games. Harris has hit 13 home runs this season, tops in the GSAC and would be among the best in NCAA DIII, and driven in 50 runs while hitting a robust .451. Courtney Wagoner provides support batting behind Harris as she has hit .410 with four home runs and 29 RBIs. After a slow start to the season, Christine Core is batting .336 and has stolen 24 bases in 26 attempts out of the leadoff spot this year.
Trevecca Nazarene University Trojans (32-14-1)
Playing their final season in the NAIA's TranSouth Athletic Conference, the Trojans went 21-7 in conference play and 32-14-1 overall. Breanna Zeis leads the Trojans in hitting with four home runs and 31 RBIs to go along with a .333 batting average. Lauren Baker and Heather Shuler have combined to drive in 46 runs and hit .370 and .357, respectively. Pitching has been key for the Trojans this season as they boast a team ERA of 2.40. Newcomer Natalie Papini has gone 10-3 this season with an ERA of 1.42 and two shutouts. Baker, in addition to her hitting prowess, is not bad in the circle either as she has posted a 1.95 ERA in 114.2 innings.
Ohio Christian University Trailblazers (15-16)
In just their third season of varsity softball, the Trailblazers are having their most successful season yet. The Trailblazers went just 2-36 in their first two seasons of play, but began this season by winning half of their first 16 contests. Sophomore MacKenna Jennings has been crucial to the Trailblazers' success as she is one of the top hitters on the team as well as a top pitcher with over 100 strikeouts this season.
