    Head Softball Coach Russell is proud to announce the addition of two strong players from DeKalb County (Tenn.) High School to the 2012-2013 roster. Tiffini Hendrixson and Brooke Hutchings have both committed to attending Covenant College next fall and representing the Scots on the softball field.

    Strong pitching along with solid hitting combined to give Covenant its second straight doubleheader sweep as the Lady Scots took out visiting Rust College 10-0 in game one and 16-2 in game two. The games were originally scheduled for March 3, but were rained out.

    The Lady Scots shone today almost as much as the sun did on their home field on Lookout Mountain. Covenant took on the Agnes Scott Scotties in a doubleheader and came up with both wins, 9-2 and 2-1.

    The Covenant softball team traveled on Tuesday night to play a doubleheader against GSAC foe Piedmont College. The first game was a shut-out of 2-0 for Piedmont, while the second game the Lady Lions pulled out 3-2 in eight innings. The Lady Scots drop to 5-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play. Piedmont improved to 6-4 and 2-0 in conference games.
