    After a tremendous run through the tournament the Lady Scots came up one game short of the finals in the AAC tournament losing 1-0 to Union College today in Kingsport, TN.

  • Women's Softball win two in the first day of the AAC tournament

    The Lady Scots softball team got started early today with a 5-1 win over Bluefield College in the opening game of the AAC tournament today in Kingsport TN. The win moved the Lady Scots into the winners bracket of the tournament and a matchup with the #1 Seed Milligan College. The Scots dug in and behind great team defense shocked Milligan College 1-0 to send Milligan into the loser bracket and propelled the Lady Scots into a winners bracket matchup against Virginia Intermont tomorrow at 5:00 PM.

  • Covenant 3-1 in Conference Play

    The Lady Scots battled Bluefield College and came out on top with two wins 5-4 and 8-5. The first game was a fight from the beginning to the end of eight innnings with the Lady Scots taking the lead in the top of the eighth with a hit by Christine Core which ended up plating the game winning run. Chelsea Krafft came in relief to pitch the last two innings and was able to ward off the bats of Bluefield cCllege, leading the Scots to a 5-4 victory.
  • Lady Scots softball battles 11th Ranked Lee University Flames

    The Lady Scots lost two games, 0-6 and 2-8 to the number eleventh nationally ranked team in the NAIA. Although it was a tough day on the scoreboard the Lady Scots were in both games giving up runs late to the Flames to come away with the loss.
  • The Lady Scots softball Sweep University of the South 7-0 and 11-1

    The Lady Scots took two from Sewanee in a 7-0 and 11- 1 victories. In the first game Christian Core went two for three with three runs scored. Kristen Walker went one for two with one run and one RBI. Lindsey Potter went two for two with a triple and one RBI. The Lady Scots played perfect defence with no errors and the pitching staff of LeeAnn Moody, Rebekah Marbury, and Chelsea Krafft combined for a no hitter and eleven strikeouts.
  • Women's Softball defeat Alverno 8-3

    The Lady Scots defeated Alverno College from Milwaukee, WI. With the 8-3 win, Lindsay Phillips lead the batters with a 3 for 3 performance and 3RBIs, Catcher Kim Cuticchia followed her selection as AAC Player of the Week last week with another great performance going 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, Kristen Walker also went 2 for 2 on the day.
  • Russell Named Lady Scots Softball Coach

    With a strong group of returning players, another solid recruiting class joining the program next month, and a brand new on-campus field being completed in the fall, the Covenant College softball team has a new leader. Covenant College announced on Tuesday that it has hired Sara Russell to be its new softball coach. Russell comes to the Lady Scots from Kentucky where she played and coached at Mid-Continent University, and where her husband William has served as the baseball coach. William Russell will join the Scots baseball staff, assisting Doug Simons.
