Burgess and Massot were named the conference's Runners of the Week, while Fitch and Kaufmann were chosen as the Rookie Runners of the Week.
Burgess set a personal record in the two-mile of 13:06.23 to finish in first and lead Covenant to a team victory at the Mountaintop Invitational last Friday. The senior from Nicholasville, Kentucky, earns Runner of the Week honors from the USA South for the fourth time in her career.
Massot had memorable debut for the men's team. The sophomore transfer from Wheaton (Ill.) ran the Mountaintop Invitational 5k in a time of 17:42.99 to finish first and lead the Scots to a victory. The sophomore from Rochester, Minnesota, overtook reigning USA South individual champion Sean Hagstrom of Maryville late in the race.
Fitch, a freshman from San Antonio, Texas, placed fourth, out of 44, in the Mountaintop Invitational with her two-mile time of 13:54.89. Kaufmann, a freshman from New York, New York, placed third in the men's event with a time of 17:52.35.

The Covenant teams are back in action on Saturday when they compete in the Sewanee Invitational. The women run at 10 a.m., while the men go at 11 a.m.
