LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Spring is around the corner and the Covenant men's tennis program, under seventh-year head coach John Hirte, recently finalized its 2019 schedule.

The Scots are set for 20 regular season matches, with 10 of those slated for the Covenant Tennis Complex. Covenant is coming off a program-record 15 wins and a second straight USA South West Division regular season title last year. The Scots ended the year ranked No. 17 in the ITA Atlantic South Region poll.

The spring season is set to begin on Feb. 9 at region foe Birmingham Southern. It will be the first of three straight matches away from home for the Scots as they take on Oglethorpe and Guilford on Feb. 16 in Atlanta.

The home slate opens on Feb. 22 with Centre coming to Lookout Mountain. USA South play starts the following day as LaGrange visits Lookout Mountain before Piedmont arrives on Feb. 26.

In the month of March, the Scots will open with conference road matches at Maryville (March 1) and Berea (March 2) along with a neutral site contest with Transylvania (March 2, Berea, Ky.). A five-match homestand follows as the Scots host Brevard (March 9), Warren Wilson (March 15), Huntingdon (March 16), Berry (March 20), and Berea (March 23). The home match vs. Berea is set for Senior Day.

A return trip to Piedmont on March 26 concludes the month. In April, Covenant hosts region power Sewanee (April 5) before finishing the regular season against Maryville (April 20). In between those two home dates, Covenant travels to Brevard (April 6), Huntingdon (April 12), and LaGrange (April 13).

The USA South Tournament is set to begin on Friday, April 26 at LaGrange, Ga., as part of the USA South's Spring Festival.
