CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Covenant men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 defeat at the hands of Division I Chattanooga on Saturday at the Hixson Racquet Club.
Covenant falls to 0-2 on the season, while Chattanooga improves to 3-3. It was the first meeting between the two schools since Covenant officially started the program in 2008.
Chattanooga took both doubles matches to earn the doubles point. Chris Cox hung with UTC's Nick Wingord at No. 2 singles but fell 6-0, 6-3. Matthew Harvie also took points off No. 1 Lucas Plesky before being defeated 6-1, 6-1.
The Scots will host Birmingham Southern on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m.
