VALLEY, Ala. -- The Covenant men's tennis team hung tough with NAIA member Point, but the Scots could not overcome the Skyhawks in an 8-1 loss on Saturday afternoon.
Covenant drops to 1-2 on the year, while Point goes to 4-1.
Roy Anderson was the lone Scot to gain a victory as he knocked off Peyton Cox 6-3, 6-1 at the No. 6 singles spot. Matthew Harvie and Michael O'Brien took their respective singles matches into a second set tiebreak before falling.
Covenant will be back in action on Tuesday with a pair of matches in Birmingham, Alabama. The Scots will face Millsaps at 2 p.m. EST and Birmingham Southern at 5 p.m. EST.
