Men's Tennis Improving, But Falls at LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. -- The Covenant men's tennis team is improving, but the Scots fell again on Tuesday afternoon 9-0 to LaGrange. Covenant is now 0-6 on the season.

Even though the team fell again and have yet to win a match all season, there are signs of steady improvement.

A few Scots won their first sets of the season. Playing as the singles No. 1, Roy Anderson won the second set 7-5, but lost the first and third sets. Seeing his first action of the season after the men's basketball season concluded, senior Callum Sears took his first set 6-4 before falling two sets to one. Tim Ahrenholz played tough, but lost 6-3, 7-6 (7-3), while Cameron Anderson was defeated 6-4, 6-4.

In doubles matches, the duo of Bryce Bartelt and Cameron Anderson nearly pulled off a victory before losing 9-7.

Covenant is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Athens, Tenn., to take on Tennessee Wesleyan. Matches begin at 12 p.m.
