Harrison, Davidson Earn NSCAA College Scholar All-Region

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Covenant men's soccer seniors Hunter Harrison and Snoopy Davidson both earned National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) College Scholar All-South Region second team honors, announced the organization earlier this week.

Harrison and Davidson were two of the three USA South honorees on the teams which consist of NCAA Division II, III and NAIA schools. To be honored, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout his or her career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team; and be nominated by an institution that is a current NSCAA College Services member.

Harrison, a senior from Greenville, South Carolina, holds a 3.50 GPA with a major in Biology. He was also an NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region third team selection. A team captain, Harrison was the catalyst on the back line for the Scots. He helped lead Covenant to five shutouts before being injured for the rest of the season in mid-October. Harrison was also voted to the USA South All-Conference second team.

A senior from Rome, Georgia, Davidson is majoring in Economics and has an overall GPA of 3.71. Davidson was named USA South Player of the Year and also earned CoSIDA Academic All-America second team honors. He finished the year leading the team with 12 goals and six assists, despite missing five matches due to an injury in late September and early October.

Davidson helped lead the Scots to their first USA South tournament championship and a berth into the NCAA tournament.
