Men's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Honors

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced its college and high school soccer program Team Academic awards earlier this week. The Covenant men's soccer program was recognized for its hard work in the classroom.

Covenant was one of 282 collegiate men's soccer programs honored. A total of 867 college soccer teams (282 men, 585 women) posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2013-14 academic year. The award runs one school year behind, so the 2014-15 year will be announced next November.

In the 2013-14 academic year, the men's team, under head coach Nathan Pifer, posted a team GPA of 3.22.
