Davidson Earns USA South Player of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Covenant men's soccer senior forward Snoopy Davidson has been named USA South Player of the Week, announced the league on Monday afternoon.

Davidson was one of two Covenant student-athletes to earn weekly honors from the conference this week. This is the fifth time this season that a men's soccer player has been named player of the week (Joel Friesen and Ian Meredith have both earned the distinction twice).

Davidson scored two goals and had one assist in helping Covenant to a 2-0 record. The senior from Rome, Ga., had the game-winning score in the 67th minute of the Scots' 1-0 win over Averett. He then had a goal and an assist in a 9-1 win over William Peace on Saturday.

Davidson leads the team with eight goals and six assists on the year and is tied for third in the USA South with 22 points.
