MILLINGTON, Tenn. -- The Covenant men's golf team wrapped up its season on Tuesday at the Rhodes Mirimichi Spring Classic by finishing 14th. The tournament's final round was reduced to nine holes after torrential rain on Monday night rendered half the course unavailable.
Wittenberg held on for the team victory with a 436. The field consisted of 14 teams, six of which are ranked inside the Top 50 in the latest GolfStat rankings. Covenant shot a 497, with a 178 coming on day two. Rhodes' Chris Harris and Millsaps' Ryan Martin tied for medalist honors with 3-under pars.
Scott McKnight and Alan Craig both finished in a tie for 44th overall as they carded 118s for the event. Craig was the low scorer for Covenant in round two as he posted a 37 (1-over par). McKnight, who shot a 73 in day one, scored a 45 in the final round. Jeron Pasma, Nick Blauw and Ian Johnson all shot 48s to finish the tournament.
