ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. -- Senior Nick Blauw finished in a tie for 27th to lead the Covenant men's golf team at the Emory Spring Invitational which ended on Tuesday. The Scots placed 13th in the field that featured six USA South teams and a host of ranked teams.
Methodist, ranked fifth in the nation, came away with the team title. Jackson Collier of Methodist and Greensboro's John Grimes tied for medalist honors as each shot even-par 72s.
Blauw carded a 77 in round one on Monday and finished the tournament with a 79 on Tuesday to finish at 156 and in 27th individually. Fellow senior Scott McKnight finished at 164 for the tournament with an 80 in day one and an 84 on day two. Alan Craig (86 -- 90) and Ian Johnson (94 -- 93) also competed as the Scots had just four golfers available for the tournament.
Covenant will finish the spring season next week at the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis.
