Golf Places Ninth at Pinnacle Trust, Craig Shoots Career-Low 73

JACKSON, Miss. -- Alan Craig posted a career-low 73 to lead the Covenant men's golf team in the final round of the Pinnacle Trust Invitational, hosted by Belhaven University, on Tuesday. The Scots placed ninth in the nine-team field.

Millsaps was the team champion as they shot a two-day score of 583 to best Meridian Community College by 14 strokes. Covenant had a two-day score of 663, but was 15 strokes better in the final round.

Craig finished in a tie for 27th overall as he carded a 160 for the tournament. Scott McKnight posted an 85 on the final day, after a round one score of 77, to finish with a 162 and in a tie for 30th individually. 

Nick Blauw shaved seven strokes off his score from round one with a day two round of 81. Ian Johnson also saw improvement as he shot an 85 after a 99 in the opening round. Jeron Pasma finished the tournament with a score of 178.

Covenant will be back on the course on Oct. 6-7 at The Buccaneer hosted by Christian Brothers University.
