MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Covenant men's golf team wrapped up the Wynlakes Intercollegiate Invitational on Tuesday by placing sixth, out of 10, at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club in Montgomery.
Covenant shot a 324 on Tuesday to finish in sixth. The Scots scored a 634 for the tournament. Wittenberg was the top team in the field as they finished with a 592. Cory Howard of LaGrange was the medalist as he shot a 73 in the final round for a two-day total of 145.
Cameron Lewis was the top individual finisher for Covenant with a two-day score of 157 after he carded an 84 in the final round. Lewis finished in a tie for 18th individually. Scott McKnight had the best second round performance for the Scots with a 79 and finished with a 158.
Covenant will next play in the George H. Bedwell Memorial Invite in Rome, Ga., on April 14-15.
