LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- With the traditional Reeder Cup reduced to just two schools, Covenant and Sewanee matched up for a one day, 18-hole event on Monday afternoon. Covenant shot a 318, led by freshman Levi Nix's 74, to defeat Sewanee on a blustery day at the Lookout Mountain Golf Club.
Nix had the top individual score for the day as Covenant had the top four scorers. Sophomore Cameron Lewis finished in second, four strokes behind Nix, with a 78. Fellow sophomores Scott McKnight and Trey Patterson rounded out the top four for the Scots with an 81 and an 85, respectively.
Sewanee had a team score of 346. Cole Parrish and David Spears led the Tigers with a pair of 87s for the day.
The event was the final one of the year for the Covenant golf teams.
