LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- The Covenant men's golf team sits in fifth place in the Georgia Cup standings after the fall season. Freshman Levi Nix is sixth individually while sophomore Trey Patterson is in 10th.

The Georgia Cup consists of six NCAA Division III schools, including Covenant, in the state of Georgia. Any tournament that had at least two Georgia Cup schools participating was accounted for in the Cup's team and individual standings.

Nix had an average round of 74.38 for the fall season, including a 69 in the first round of the Emmanuel Invitational. Nix was invited, along with Patterson, to the NCCAA Men's Golf National Championships as an individual.

Patterson is 10th after posting an average round of 75.63. The sophomore from Johns Creek, Ga., tied a school-record with a 4-under 68 in the first round of the NCCAA national championships. Patterson finished 1-under and in sixth place at nationals to earn Covenant's first All-American honors in golf.

James Van Nice (22nd) and Cameron Lewis (24th) round out the Covenant golfers that rank in the top 30.
