ATLANTA, Ga. -- For a third straight year, Covenant men's basketball senior Colton McGriff has been named to the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association (GABCA) All-State second team, announced the organization on Tuesday.
Additionally, four Scots participated in the annual all-star game featuring players across the state of Georgia at all levels. Nate Frierson, Ryan Burns, Teron Ferguson and Bryant Engbers all played in the game that took place at Oglethorpe University on March 28. The team with Ferguson and Engbers defeated Frierson and Burns' squad 97-90. The box score can be found here.
McGriff, from Birmingham, Alabama, capped his career averaging 12.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game to lead Covenant this season. The senior eclipsed the 1,000 career point threshold on Dec. 10 against Emory and ended his career with 1,181 points. McGriff had 15 games of double-digit point outputs on the year with a season-best 28 against Oglethorpe on Nov. 25.

Covenant finished the year 9-17 overall and fell in the quarterfinal round of the USA South Tournament to top-seeded Averett.
