Kyzer, making his second start of the year, scattered just three hits and walked three with five strikeouts in his outing. The freshman retired eight of the last nine batters he faced in the victory.
On the year, Kyzer has made two starts and is 1-1 with a 3.68 earned run average and eight strikeouts in 8.1 innings of work.
