LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Covenant baseball senior pitcher Garrett Kriston and junior outfielder Luke Harvey were both named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-South Region second team, announced the organization on Tuesday.

Kriston and Harvey become the fifth and sixth players in program history to earn all-region honors from the ABCA and the first since 2014.

Kriston, a senior from Trinity, Fla., went 9-3 on the year with a 3.86 ERA in 86.1 innings and earned All-USA South second team honors. The right-hander accumulated a program-record 101 strikeouts, which led all of Division III for most of the season, and tossed six complete-games. Kriston was named USA South Pitcher of the Week on March 28 after recording a two-hit, complete-game shutout in a win over William Peace on March 25. Of his 12 starts, Kriston tallied at least nine strikeouts in seven of those, with a season-high 12 against Emory & Henry on Feb. 12.

Kriston ended his Covenant career as the program's career record holder in strikeouts with 255, innings pitched at 272.2 and victories with 23. His career 3.60 ERA is the second-lowest in program history.

Harvey, a junior from Apex, N.C., had a career year at the plate as he led the USA South with a .413 batting average to go along with 14 doubles, 28 RBIs and 39 runs scored. The junior broke the single-season program record with 26 stolen bases and was named to the All-USA South second team. He also led the team in multi-hit games with 21, including nine games with at least three hits, and walks with 24. Harvey was named USA South Player of the Week on Feb. 15 after batting .700 the week prior and was selected to the Team of the Week on Feb. 16.

Harvey was also voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team and was Covenant's representative on the USA South All-Sportsmanship team.

Covenant finished the year 23-17 overall.
