LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- A day after earning USA South weekly awards, Covenant baseball senior Jonah Paul and junior Luke Harvey were both named to the Team of the Week, announced the website on Tuesday morning.

The Team of the Week is's weekly honor roll, in its fifth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the first Team of the Week of the 2016 season.

The selections for this week took into account all stats from the first two weeks of the season. Paul and Harvey become the third and fourth players in program history to be recognized with this honor.

Paul, a senior from Rossville, Ga., and the USA South's Pitcher of the Week, has allowed just one run on six hits in two starts spanning 14 innings (0.64 ERA). The senior right-hander tossed a three-hit, complete-game shutout with nine strikeouts in a 5-0 victory over Emory & Henry on Saturday, Feb. 13 that concluded a three-game sweep. In his first start at Greensboro (Feb. 6), he allowed one run on three hits in five innings of work to pick up the win.

Harvey, a junior from Apex, N.C., was the USA South's Player of the Week. The junior has helped Covenant to a 5-0 start with a .588/.632/.708 slash line. He totaled seven runs, four RBIs, two doubles and three stolen bases. Harvey, with 10 hits in 17 at-bats, has four multi-hit games already this season.
