BY THE NUMBERS:

5: Number of hits for baseball sophomore Caleb Bloye in Saturday's 12-5 win over William Peace. Bloye went 5-for-5, tying a single-game program record for hits, with four RBIs in the victory. He is just the second player in the program's history to record five hits in a game joining James Rollins (who accomplished the feat on April 11, 2012 at Hiwassee).

5: Five is also the number of triples on the year for softball senior Madison Quirk, which broke a single-season program record. Quirk notched her fifth three-bagger of the year in the first game of Friday's doubleheader at William Peace.

7-1: The conference record for the women's tennis team after they stormed back for a 5-4 win at Meredith on Saturday. It is the best eight-match conference start in the program's history and the Lady Scots sit in second place in the league standings.

1-0: The baseball team won game one of Friday's USA South series opener vs. William Peace by a 1-0 score. It marked the first time that the Scots have won a 1-0 game in program history. Garrett Kriston, who coincidentally was the losing pitcher in Covenant's last 1-0 game (a loss at Huntingdon in 2013) tossed a two-hit shutout in the victory.

11: Speaking of Kriston, the senior right-hander struck out 11 batters in his complete-game victory and is nearing several program records. Kriston's 11 strikeouts puts him just two shy of tying the program's career mark of 223 set previously by Demarius Johnson. He is also 10 punch outs away from tying the single-season mark of 77 (also set by Johnson). Kriston is also nearing career record for innings pitched and recently tied the marks for complete-games (11) and complete-game shutouts (3).
