KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Covenant men's soccer and women's soccer programs earned one more honor for their work in the 2019-20 academic year as the United Soccer Coaches recognized the programs with Team Academic Award honors.

It is the 14th time in men's soccer program history that the Scots have garnered this distinction, while it is the 11th time overall for the women's program.

The men's soccer program, under head coach Scott Bosgraf, registered a 3.32 GPA during the 2019-20 year. Head coach Mark Duble's women's team tallied a 3.49 GPA on the year.

A total of 914 NCAA soccer programs (345 men, 569 women) from all three divisions posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Covenant was one of 188 institutions -- and three from the USA South -- that had both teams earn honors.

Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2019-20 academic year.
