Saturday's USA South Tournament Matches Moved to UTC Sports Complex

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- The Covenant men's and women's soccer home USA South Tournament matches on Saturday have been shifted to the UTC Sports Complex in Chattanooga. 

The Covenant women will face No. 6 East seed N.C. Wesleyan at 2 p.m., with the men taking on No. 4 West seed LaGrange at 4 p.m.

The matches moved off the Covenant campus due to continued rain in the area. The UTC Sports Complex, located next to Historic Engel Stadium at 301 O'Neal Street in Chattanooga, features a turf field.

For facility info, click on the "Directions" link above. There is limited spectator seating, so fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Additionally, no pets are allowed (except service animals) and no beverages other than water are allowed inside the facility.

Live stats will be available for both matches. It is our hope to be able to provide live video as well. 

The Covenant women (9-5-2, 6-1-1 USA South) will face off with N.C. Wesleyan (6-10-1, 3-5 USA South) in quarterfinal round action of the USA South Tournament. N.C. Wesleyan advanced past No. 3 East seed Meredith on Wednesday, 5-3, in a penalty shootout. Covenant comes into the match with an 8-1-1 record over its last 10 matches, including three straight wins to finish the regular season.

The No. 1 West seeded Covenant men (16-2-1, 13-0 USA South) will square off with No. 4 West seed LaGrange (6-10-1, 5-7-1 USA South) in a first round match. Covenant steamrolled through conference play with a perfect record while outscoring opponents 45-5. Covenant defeated LaGrange 5-0 on Oct. 18 on the road. LaGrange is coming off a 4-3 win over Pfeiffer in the regular season finale on Saturday.
