FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The USA South Athletic Conference's "Cans Across the Conference" initiative recently came to a close as the 19 conference member institutions collected cans and other non-perishable items at their school to benefit a local charity. The drive is put on by campus Student Athlete Advisory Committees (SAAC) across the conference.

Covenant and its Student Athlete Advisory Committee collected a record number of food items in the challenge. The SAAC leadership of volleyball senior Schuyler Moore, women's soccer junior Rachel Lemay, and baseball junior Jonah Carignan helped lead the initiative on campus that produced over 600 canned goods. All items will be donated to the Chattanooga-area Food Bank.
