LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- The Covenant College athletic department and director of athletics Tim Sceggel have announced the addition of the Scots Athletic Club, a booster club initiative that will help support the department's 14 intercollegiate athletic programs.
"In our department, we seek to explore and express the preeminence of Christ in intercollegiate athletics by cultivating disciples and pursuing excellence," Sceggel said. "We invite you to join us in this pursuit as our coaches use their sport as a means to grow student athletes in their faith, while also achieving strong results in the midst of competition."
The program's mission is to promote, sustain, and develop Covenant Athletics and its sports teams through the raising of funds generated by donors, events, and participation of club members to fully enable Covenant to compete in the conference, regionally, and nationally for the glory of God.
"We are excited to provide a structured way for alumni, community members, parents, and other friends of the athletic department to contribute in a way that supports the mission and vision of the athletic department by meeting prioritized team and departmental needs," added Sceggel.
