It was a big week in Covenant athletics. Get caught up with all the action with this week's edition of Scots Weekly.

1,426: The attendance for the men's socer Homecoming match against LaGrange. It was the largest crowd at Scotland Yard since 2010 (when attendance began to be recorded). The last three Homecoming games have yielded a total of 3,926 fans.

6: Current win streak for the volleyball team. After a sweep of USA South members Averett and Ferrum on Friday, the Lady Scots have their second six-game win streak of the season to move to 15-6 overall and 5-1 in USA South play.

2: Number of goals scored by women's soccer senior Bethany Logan and men's soccer senior Snoopy Davidson in their matches on Saturday against LaGrange. Logan scored twice, her second two-goal game of the year, in leading the Lady Scots to a 5-0 win over the Panthers while Davidson had two goals of his own in the Scots' 5-0 win.

73: The second round score for men's golf sophomore Alan Craig last Tuesday in the Pinnacle Trust Invitational. The score was a career-low for Craig.


  • The cross country teams had another solid showing at the Maryville College Invitational as the men placed second and the women third. The teams will have a week off from competition before competing in the Berry College Viking Open on Oct. 18.
  • Covenant teams will be on the road for the entire week. The next varsity home game is Oct. 15 when both soccer teams host Huntingdon.
