BY THE NUMBERS:
3: The number of consecutive overtime wins the men's basketball team had before Friday night's loss in extra time to Millsaps. The Scots had not lost an overtime game since Dec. 7, 2011 (at Oglethorpe). Side note, Covenant has not played a double overtime game since Feb. 25, 2009 in the first round of the AAC Tournament.
13.0: Points per game for men's basketball sophomore Connor Sears since entering the starting lineup. Sears started his first career game on Nov. 25 against Oglethorpe and has started each of the last three games. Sears scored a career-high 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting in a 72-66 loss at Rhodes.
982: Number of career points for men's basketball senior Colton McGriff. McGriff sits 18 points away from becoming the 25th member of the 1,000-point club in men's basketball progam history.
19: Number of points for women's basketball junior Haley Soles, tying a career-high, in the Scots' 72-58 loss at Agnes Scott on Saturday. Soles buried five 3-pointers in the contest.
9: Number of rebounds for women's basketball freshman Abbey Bailey in the loss to Agnes Scott. Bailey has recorded at least nine rebounds in three of Covenant's six games and is averaging 7.8 per game.
- This is the final week of events before Christmas Break.
- Men's basketball travels to Sewanee on Tuesday (8 PM EST) and hosts nationally-ranked Emory on Wednesday (5:30 PM) at Barnes PE Center.
- Women's basketball hosts Sewanee on Tuesday (6 PM) and Berry on Saturday (2 PM)
