HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK:

This week's Highlight of the Week comes from Wednesday's men's basketball game. With the game tied at 72, Chris Boyd comes up with a steal and TJ Cox makes a layup near the end of regulation vs. Piedmont. Tim Mahla and Daniel Gilbert on the call:

BY THE NUMBERS:

2: Number of walk-off hits this week for baseball senior Andrew Beck. Beck was clutch in Covenant's three-game series vs. Methodist. First, he delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th inning in Friday's 2-1 victory. Beck then one-upped himself on Saturday with a two-out, two strike, two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth giving the Scots a 4-3 win. Beck's walk-off homer was the second in modern program history (Perry Rigby, March 30, 2013 vs. Emory).

13: Hitting streak for softball sophomore Jordan Brett that was snapped on Saturday. Brett came into this year riding a 12-game hitting, tied for the program record, and singled in her first at-bat in game one on Saturday vs. Berry to break the record. Brett went hitless in game two to see her streak end.

1-0: The men's tennis team opened the season on Saturday with a 6-3 win over Gadsden State. The win marked the first time in three years the Scots earned a season-opening victory.
