Georgia Local Commits to Covenant


Candace PattersonLOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Candace Patterson, a utility player from Peach Tree City, Georgia, will join the Covenant College Lady Scots this season.  Candace is a graduate from McIntosh High School.  "Candace will add needed depth to our growing program,” reported Coach Sara Russell.

Melanie Davis Joins Lady Scots


Melanie DavisLOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Melanie Davis, an outfielder from Kennesaw, Georgia, will join the Covenant College Lady Scots next season.  Melanie is a graduate of The Walker School in Marietta and plans to double major in Business and Spanish.

 
"Melanie brings a work ethic that will challenge and motivate the team to strive for excellence," said Coach Sara Russell.

Dade County Student Commits to Covenant


Morgan TinkerLOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Morgan Tinker, a speedy slapper from Trenton, Georgia, has committed to Covenant College for the 2010-2011 season.  Morgan graduated from Dade County High School and plans to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Elementary Education.   
When asked about Morgan, Coach Sara Russell remarked, "Morgan is going to bring speed to the line-up.  She will not only impact our program, but her involvement with the Covenant community will not go unnoticed.”

Chapel Hill Grad Commits to Covenant


Lauren JohnsLOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Lauren Johns, a first baseman/catcher from Douglasville, Georgia will join the Covenant College Lady Scots next season.  Lauren, a graduate from Chapel Hill High School, plans to get her degree in Biology.

"Lauren will be an asset to our Softball program.  She adds depth to our line up and will challenge others for a spot in the order with her heavy stick," said Coach Sara Russell.

Chandler Shepherd Joins Lady Scots


Chandler ShepherdLOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Chandler Shepherd, a standout from Heritage High School in Conyers, Georgia, has committed to play softball at Covenant College.  Chandler plans to get her degree in Education.  She has a love for people and wants to impact lives where ever the Lord leads her.

"Chandler is a team player who will give everything to help her teammates improve and be in good spirits.  With her team first attitude and athletic ability she will make immediate impact on our program,” commented Coach Sara Russell.

Lady Scots Celebrate 2010 Awards


LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- The NCCAA's Mid-East Region and National Office have voted on the 2010 post-season awards, and the Lady Scots are proud to announce sophomore centerfielder Christine Core, junior catcher and co-captain Kim Cuticchia, and sophomore pitcher Chelsea Krafft as this year's honorees.  Although the Lady Scots had a rough first half of the season, these three provided consistency all year long and eventually helped the team break out of its slump and earn a trip to the national tournament.

One Bad Inning Knocks Lady Scots Out of NCCAA Tournament; Ends Season
