Coach Duble began coaching the Lady Scots club team in 1993 before the program became varsity in ’94. He “grew up” at Covenant, as his father was a Vice-President for Advancement at Covenant College in the 1960's and 1970's, and he played for, and captained, the Scots soccer team as a player. In his previous 17 seasons, his Lady Scot squads have compiled a compiled a 180-104-24 record, and an amazing 102-23-10 conference record in the AAC, winning eight regular season conference championships, seven conference tournament championships, reaching the Regional semi-finals seven times, and the regional finals three times. The 2006-07 team won the regional to advance to the women’s first national tournament appearance. Duble earned the conference Coach of the Year award five times, and the Regional Coach of the Year award in 2004-05.

 

Active in his professional coaching organizations, he has served eight years as the conference soccer chair, five as regional chair, and two years as the NAIA Women’s Soccer National President. He and his wife Lynn, also a Covenant alum and former athlete herself, have been married for 29 years, and have five children: Allen, Chelsey, Charles, Faith, and John Mark.
