Lady Scots Blank Trevecca in 2010 Season Opener


NASHVILLE -- In their first official game since the semifinal loss in the 2009 NCCAA national tournament almost nine months ago, the Lady Scots returned to winning form Wednesday night, beating Trevecca-Nazarene University (0-1-1) by a score of 2-0.  Second half goals from sophomores Lauren Probst (1) and Amy Dykstra (1) ensured that the ladies would not go goal-less, a feat no team wants anything to do with.

Scotland Yard Lights Initiative Reaches Completion

Covenant Soccer Alum to Coach 2010 Alabama All-Star Team


HUNTSVILLE, AL -- Former Lady Scot goalie Lindsey Fain was selected to coach the South All-Stars in this year's Alabama state all-star game.  The game- held Monday night at the John Hunt Soccer Complex in Huntsville- marks the beginning of the sixth annual "All-Star Sport Week," in which Alabama's high school soccer, football, and baseball all-star events will take place.  Fain, who has been the head girl's coach at Providence Christian High School in Dothan since 2005, will coach alongside Jason Richardson of Murphy High School, Jasper Rogers of Parker High School, and Jay Bruner

CPA’s All-Region Goal keeper Grace Hooper will attend Covenant College in 2010


Grace HooperLOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Covenant College women's soccer head coach Mark Duble has announced the addition of Grace Hooper to his roster for the 2010 season.

 
Hooper is a 5'7" All-Region goal keeper from Franklin, TN where she played for Christ Presbyterian Academy.  There, she helped lead her team to a district, region and sectional championship in 2009. Her overall record as a starting goal keeper was 32-10-4. Grace was named All-Region in 2009 as well as selected to the East-West All-Star game as a keeper in 2009.

Women’s Soccer Adds Callie Whiten to Roster for Next Season


Callie WhitenLOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Covenant College women's soccer head coach Mark Duble has announced the addition of Callie Whiten to his roster for 2010-2011 season.

 
Callie is a 5'4" outside back from Hoover High School in Hoover, Alabama where she was a four-year letterman, and starter for the girl's varsity.  Her contributions helped Hoover amass a 29-24-6 record over the past three years in the state's toughest 6A area.

Julian Allgeier and Jenny Carter Named NCCAA All-Americans
