New Addition: Rebecca “Spookie” Eaves to the 2012-2013 season
Posted April 25, 2012LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Head Cross Country Coach Katie Stanford is pleased to announce the addition of Rebecca “Spookie” Eaves to her women’s roster for the 2012-2013 season. Spookie is a standout cross country and track runner from Lakeland, FL and currently attends Lakeland Christian School where she has earned a 3.81 GPA.

Posted November 15, 2011LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Week 11 for Covenant athletics was not very busy with the transition between fall and winter sports happening. Women’s soccer played and won its first playoff game and will advance to the second round. Men’s basketball lost their exhibition game against NCAA DI Coastal Carolina. And the men’s and women’s cross country season came to a close as they did well in the NCCAA National Championship meet.
Cross Country Teams Finish Season At NCCAA Nationals

The women capped off their season with a 15th place finish, while the men finished in 19th place at the 2011 NCCAA Cross Country National Championships hosted by Cedarville University.

Posted October 31, 2011LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- As the fall sport season is beginning to come to a close, Covenant athletic teams are still fighting hard. The NCCAA National Championship of golf took place this week. Also, cross country competed in the Great South conference meet that was held in Chattanooga at the Chickamauga Dam. The men’s and women’s soccer teams played on Tuesday and Saturday while women’s volleyball continues their great season by winning twice more on Saturday.
Woods Takes 1st, Top Honor To Lead Covenant Cross-Country Teams
Posted October 29, 2011CHATTANOOGA -- Tera Woods continued her outstanding season at the Great South Conference Meet at the Chickamauga Dam with a first place finish to help the Lady Scots finish unofficially first overall. The men took home second place as Zach Smith and Stephen Dillon both finished in the top five.
Covenant Takes Three Great South Players of the Week
Posted October 21, 2011LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- Covenant’s Beth Burgess, Margaret Cross, and Zach Smith have all been named to the Great South Athletic Conference’s weekly honor roll for their respective sports. During the week ending October 15, Burgess led the women’s cross country team to a second overall finish at the Oglethorpe University Invitational; Cross played a major role in the Lady Scots soccer team’s 2-0 record; and Smith, like Burgess, led Covenant’s cross country team to a second place finish in Atlanta.

ATLANTA -- The Covenant women took second in the field of eight teams, and the men took second in the field of nine as first year head coach Katie Stanford came away with two more runner-up trophies at the Oglethorpe University Invitational Saturday. It’s the third straight runner-up finish for the women and the second of the season for the men.
