Forland Double-Double Leads Lady Scots Past Oakwood

Huntsville, AL-  The Covenant College Lady Scots basketball team claimed a much welcomed victory on Saturday night, riding Erika Forland's 20-point, 12-rebound effort to a 56-46 win over Oakwood University.  Indeed, the senior was outstanding on a night which presented the Lady Scots with an opportunity to improve their season record to 8-12, as she not only led all players in points and rebounds, but also in assists and steals.  Sophomore Margaret Cross was second on the team with 10 points, as the Lady Scots used a 30-14 halftime lead to silence the opposition crowd en-route to the ten-point, away victory. 

Covenant will now host Huntingdon College, whom they defeated 68-58 earlier in the year, this Wednesday at 5:30 P.M.
