Emily comes to Covenant this year as one of six freshmen running for the Lady Scots this season.

Her parents are David and Miriam Shelden. She has an older sister, Rosemary; an older brother, Nate; and three younger brothers: Nick, Noah, and Jed. When she is not running, Emily enjoys singing, spending time with friends and family, and reading. One of her favorite Bible verses is Isaiah 40:31 which says, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Emily is an Elementary Education major. After graduation, she would like to become a second grade teacher, or a mom... or both!
