Jessica, also known as "Chip," returns to Covenant in her senior year as one of the three captains leading the Lady Scots on the court this season. Prior to Covenant, Jessica played volleyball for Poolesville High School where she helped her team to a state championship title in her senior year. She was also named to the All-Star team in that same season.
Her parents are Sandy (played basketball at Wheeling Jesuit University) and Thom Chittenden. She has four younger sisters: Holly (sophomore basketball player at Shenandoah University), Rebekah, Kathryn, and Krystal. In her spare time, Jessica loves photography, juggling, scrapbooking, and making her own cards. One of her favorite Bible verses is Proverbs 31:30 which says, "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
Jessica is an Elementary Education major. After graduating from Covenant, she hopes to teach in the public school system for a few years. Eventually, she would like to go back to school and get certification in either special education or English Language Learner (ELL) certified.
