LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- The 2018 spring schedule for the Covenant women's tennis team, under sixth-year head coach John Hirte, has been released. The Lady Scots will play nine matches at home, starting on Feb. 10 against regional foe Birmingham Southern.

The schedule is not 100 percent complete as of yet. Covenant plans to travel to Orlando, Fla., for a spring break trip with matches against Division III foes yet to be finalized. The trip will take place on March 5-6.

The Lady Scots play all three of their matches in February at home. After the Birmingham Southern contest, Covenant will host Belhaven (Feb. 16) and Hanover (Feb. 17). The Lady Scots will also host Berea for a non-conference match on March 3 before hitting the road to Florida.

Key non-conference road matches include trips to Oglethorpe (March 1), Berry (April 4), and Sewanee (April 10).

Upon return from Orlando, USA South play will commence. Covenant travels to Maryville (March 16) and Berea (March 17) in the first weekend of conference play before hosting Piedmont on March 20. Other conference home matches include Huntingdon (March 30) and LaGrange (March 31).

The Lady Scots will enter the spring with a 17-match win streak against USA South foes in regular season play. Covenant claimed its first conference regular season title last season after going 7-0 in league play. Since joining the conference in 2014, Covenant is 37-6 in regular season league matches.

The final home regular season match, and Senior Day, is set for April 6 against Maryville. The match will not count towards league standings.

The USA South Tournament is set to begin on April 13 in LaGrange, Ga., as part of the Spring Festival.
