LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN -- The Covenant women's soccer program has announced the addition of six players to the 2017 recruiting class for head coach Mark Duble. Kendyll Freeman, Lindsey Hunkapiller, Molly Kate McClearn, Kyra Duble, Emma DiDomenico, and Grace Herring have all committed to attend Covenant and will play for the Lady Scots in the fall of 2017.
Kendyll Freeman - Deerfield-Windsor School - Albany, Ga.
Freeman attended Deerfield-Windsor School and was a five-time GISA All-Region selection, and was All-State in both junior and senior years. A defender, she helped her team to region championships in five straight seasons and state runner-up finishes twice during her high school career. Freeman has also played for various travel teams, most recently the United Futbol Academy from 2014-16.
Academically, Freeman was a Beta Club member and an honor graduate, while also being recognized as a Georgia Certificate of Merit Scholar. She plans to major in biology and minor in art at Covenant.
Lindsey Hunkapiller - Boyd-Buchanan School - Chattanooga, Tenn.
A local product out of Chattanooga and Boyd-Buchanan School, Hunkapiller is another defender in the recruiting class. A four-year player at Boyd-Buchanan, Hunkapiller was an All-District selection in four straight years and was a three-time member of the All-Region team. She has also played with several local club teams, including FC Alliance (2014-15) and Chattanooga FC (2015-17).
Hunkapiller was a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in psychology with a minor in biblical and theological studies at Covenant.
Molly Kate McClearn - Sherwood Christian Academy - Leesburg, Ga.
McClearn had a very successful playing career at Sherwood Christian Academy where she helped lead the team to three state championships and a state runner-up finish. She was a three-time All-State and All-Region selection and also helped SCA to five region championships during her career. Additionally, she played with South Georgia United for four years and with United Futbol Academy for two years.
McClearn was a member of the National Honor Society and is currently undecided on a major at Covenant.
Kyra Duble - Chattanooga Christian - Lookout Mountain, Ga.
The niece of head coach Mark Duble and the daughter of former Covenant soccer players Troy and Sarah Duble, Kyra attended Chattanooga Christian School where she helped the Chargers to a state runner-up finish in 2015. Duble has also played with the Chattanooga FC Academy for the past five years.
At Covenant, Duble plans to major in pre-nursing with a business minor.
Emma DiDomenico - Stewarts Creek High School - Nashville, Tenn.
DiDomenico recorded 54 goals and 147 assists during her high school career at Stewarts Creek. She helped her team to two region runner-up finishes and was named the offensive player of the year as a freshman. DiDomenico has played three years for Murfreesboro Strikers and the past year with Nashville FC.
DiDomenico was a member of Quill & Scroll Honor Society and was an honor student at SCHS. She is interested in majoring in biology or English at Covenant.
Grace Herring - Front Range Christian - Littleton, Colo.
Herring attended Front Range Christian and was a four-year varsity player. She was a three-time All-Conference player and was selected to the All-State honorable mention team after her senior year. Herring also played in the Colorado Rush program for four years.
Herring graduated with honors and was a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to major in biology with a minor in community development at Covenant.
