Alexis comes to Covenant as a freshman forward for the Scots this season. Prior to Covenant, she played basketball for Unity Christian where she helped her team win the District (Jr., Sr.) and Conference (Sr. ) Championships. She also played AAU basketball for the Grand Rapids Rush.

Her parents are Jim and Trudy Storteboom. She has two older sisters, Erika and Autumn (member of the rowing team at Michigan Technological University). She also has a younger brother, Andrew, and a younger sister, Elizabeth. When Alexis is not on the court, she enjoys camping, spending time with friends and family, and playing other sports. One of her favorite Bible passages is Psalm 73:25-26 which says, "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

Alexis is majoring in Elementary Education. After graduating from Covenant, she would like to teach the younger grades and hopefully be involved in international or inner city missions.
