Final Round of Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate Washed Out

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- Due to rain in the area, the final round of the Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate on Tuesday was washed out. The tournament concludes with only the first 18 holes being played.

Covenant finishes 15th in the tournament, ahead of USA South foe Piedmont, and Nathan Hawkins placed in a tie for 13th overall after shooting a 72 in the first round on Monday. 

The tournament field featured 12 of the top 50 ranked teams in Division III, according to GolfStat.

The Scots were two shots ahead of Piedmont and only two strokes back of No. 30 Birmingham Southern. Oglethorpe, ranked No. 21, took home the team title and shooting a 285 in the opening round. Matt Organisack of Emory was the medalist as he carded a 3-under, 69 on Monday.


Covenant will compete in the Wynlakes Invitational on March 26-27 in Montgomery, Ala.
